Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?

Online, via emailing run4refugees@outlook.com or filling in the box on the bottom of the Home page. Also available on the day.

Will I receive anything in the post?

No. All correspondence is via email (please check your junk folder!). You will receive a runner number sticker on the day.

How far can I run?

You can run either 5K or 10K. You can let us know when registering but you can change your mind, even on race day! Letting us know just gives us a rough idea of numbers for both distances.

Can I wear headphones during the run?

Yes, but the sound level should be low enough so that you can hear a marshal if they are calling/warning you.

Where do I go?

Arrival and registration is by the bandstand in Cannon Hill Park, the far side of the park, opposite the lake and the MAC.

Is there a place to store my belongings?

Yes, on or by the bandstand. There will be people monitoring the area the entirety of the event. We do however, accept no liability for your belongings and they are left at your own risk.

Where is the start line?

The start line is a few metres away from the bandstand.

What is the course like?

The course is all on tarmac, fairly flat (apart from the last 50m up a short hill to finish!)

Can I take part on bike/scooter/tricycle or with my dog?

No sorry. Unless you are under 10 and accompanied by a parent. You may run with your dog, providing it is kept on a lead at all times and always a short distance away from you.

Do I have to run the whole distance?

No! Of course not! This is a family-friendly, not overly competitive run. Complete it in your own time.

Wait, I still have a question - how do I get in touch!?

Please email run4refugees@outlook.com with any further questions and we'd be happy to help.
